GDPR Privacy Policy

The IOPD would like to bring to your attention that on the 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation came into force. Many of the old Data Protection concepts remain the same but there are some new elements. (Full details can be found online as this new law may affect your Organisation and record keeping). Any Organisation not seen to be complying with this legislation can be heavily fined.

The IOPD is registered with ICO (the Information Commissioner’s Office) and have a valid certificate to show we comply, with the reasons for having your information on file

The information you provide to the IOPD when you fill in your initial Application Form, subsequent Renewal / Extension Notices (whether non paper or on line) requests made through the website and relevant emails are held on file and on the computer in order that we can administer and service your needs. We do not have dates of birth or bank details nor do we share any of your information with any other Organisations or Companies unless legally required or as part of your entry to an event.

You have a right to request that we do not keep this information and to ask us to delete it. (For legal requirements we have to keep the very basic past information in case of a claim). If you do ask us to do this we will no longer be able to continue your Affiliation to the IOPD.

You are entitled to a copy of any information we hold about you and also to ask us to correct any inaccuracies. If you wish the IOPD to do either of these options, please feel free to contact us and we will action as appropriately.

All the computer information is stored on Microsoft’s secure servers. The website uses cookies to handle your data and the IOPD may receive information from an Insurer regarding your business.

If the IOPD does not hear anything to the contra it will be taken that you are in agreement that information on your Organisation can be stored in the same format as it is currently.
